We are a parent volunteer organization that works to:
- Support the Tahoma High School girls basketball programs: 9th, JV, Varsity
- Improve the girls basketball program by providing financial support utilizing fundraisers
- Develop enthusiastic support among students, parents, players, participants and the community of the Tahoma school district
- Promote school spirit and sportsmanship and encourage attendance at all Tahoma girl's basketball game
- Develop and maintain an organization with an active and involved membership
What kind of activities do the Boosters support?
The Booster club raises funds to support our teams by selling advertisements, running Tahoma sports concessions, hosting jamborees, sponsoring restaurant nights and others. We have sold advertisements to create a full color game program for the last 3 years and to aid in basketball training/practice purchased "The Gun" (see www.shootaway.com/Gun1.htm). In the past we've paid a portion of spring/summer/fall leagues, off-season tournaments, player gear, assistance coach funds and team building activities. In 2010-2011 season we've provided almost $4,000 of financial support to the program!
We encourage you to get involved with the fundraising opportunities and attend the monthly meetings. Your ideas, participation and enthusiasm are vital in making this a successful season and developing a year round girl's basketball program for Tahoma! ! !
